Sky Zone Trampoline Parks — Multi-Location Electrical Build-Outs

Project overview

LH Block Electric completed electrical construction for three Sky Zone trampoline parks in Algonquin, Deerfield, and Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, representing approximately 114,000 square feet of indoor entertainment space.

Each project involved adapting an existing commercial building with electrical service already in place. Our work included adding distribution panels and completing the interior electrical installation for the new facility layouts, lighting, play equipment, and building systems.

From lighting controls and equipment circuits to HVAC connections and emergency lighting, our team provided the electrical installations needed to support these commercial conversions.

Our electrical scope

Across the three locations, LH Block Electric completed electrical build-outs within existing commercial buildings. Our scope included:

• Power distribution: Additional distribution panels connected to the existing electrical infrastructure to serve the new tenant layouts.
• Lighting and controls: Interior lighting installations and lighting controls throughout the renovated spaces.
• Equipment circuits: Dedicated circuits and electrical connections for facility equipment.
• Power to play equipment: Electrical feeds and connections for powered play equipment and attractions.
• HVAC connections: Electrical power connections for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment.
• Emergency lighting and exit signs: Installation of emergency lighting and illuminated exit signage.
• Fire alarm conduits: Conduit pathways for fire alarm wiring.

Sky Zone — Algonquin

2471 Randall Road, Algonquin, Illinois
Approximately 35,000 square feet
Electrical work completed: November 2025

Located along the Randall Road commercial corridor, this project converted a former RoomPlace furniture store into a Sky Zone trampoline park. LH Block Electric added distribution panels and completed interior electrical build-out work to support the building’s new use.

Sky Zone — Deerfield

120 S. Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois
Approximately 40,850 square feet
Electrical work completed: August 2025

Located in Deerbrook Shopping Center, the Deerfield project repurposed a former large-format retail space. LH Block Electric expanded the electrical distribution with additional panels and completed electrical build-out work for the new entertainment facility.

Sky Zone — Chicago / Lincoln Park

Electrical work completed: December 2024

The Lincoln Park project brought a Sky Zone entertainment facility to an existing commercial space in Chicago’s Kingsbury Center. LH Block Electric provided distribution modifications and interior electrical construction to accommodate the new tenant’s requirements.

Adapting existing buildings for a new use

An existing electrical service provides a starting point for a tenant build-out, but a change in building use can require substantial modifications.

For these Sky Zone projects, LH Block Electric added distribution panels and installed lighting, equipment circuits, and other electrical systems within existing commercial buildings. Each location had its own building conditions and layout, making it important to integrate the new work with the infrastructure that remained.

This experience applies to other commercial renovations where an existing property must accommodate a new tenant, revised floor plan, or different operational needs.

Completing three Sky Zone projects gave LH Block Electric repeated experience with electrical construction for large indoor entertainment facilities.
