Goldfish Swim School — Electrical Buildouts & Ongoing Service
Thirteen electrical buildouts and more than a decade of support for indoor swim school facilities throughout Chicagoland.
Project overview
Our work with Goldfish Swim School began at Chicago’s Roscoe Village location alongside a Michigan-based general contractor. As Goldfish expanded throughout the region, LH Block completed electrical installations at 13 locations with several general contractors, including local firms and contractors from outside Illinois.
Today, our team continues working directly with individual franchise owners on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, lighting improvements, and pool equipment electrical repairs across Chicagoland—including locations where we did not perform the original buildout.
Turning commercial spaces into indoor swim schools
Many of these projects transformed existing commercial buildings into indoor aquatic facilities. Installing pools within an existing building footprint required extensive excavation and the integration of filtration, heating, plumbing, and dehumidification systems.
LH Block worked alongside the construction team to integrate electrical distribution, lighting, and equipment power into spaces originally designed for other uses. Each location brought different building conditions and electrical requirements.
Coordinating compact mechanical rooms
Pool pump and mechanical rooms needed to accommodate equipment, piping, conduit, and controls from multiple trades within a limited footprint.
LH Block coordinated electrical equipment locations, connection points, and installation sequencing with mechanical, plumbing, and pool equipment contractors. Planning those details together helped reduce installation conflicts, maintain access for future maintenance, and keep construction progressing.
13 Chicagoland electrical buildouts
LH Block completed the original electrical buildouts at the following locations:
Chicago
Roscoe Village and Wicker Park.
Surrounding suburbs
Arlington Heights, Burr Ridge, Elmhurst, Evanston, Glen Ellyn, Mundelein, Naperville, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Plainfield, and St. Charles.
Our ongoing service work also includes Algonquin and Lincoln Park, where LH Block did not perform the original electrical buildouts.
Electrical support beyond opening day
As these facilities age, our team continues to support individual franchise owners with electrical troubleshooting, pool equipment electrical repairs, lighting upgrades, and maintenance. Familiarity with the buildings and their electrical systems helps us plan practical improvements as facility needs change.
Our role focuses on electrical power and connections for pool equipment, working alongside the other trades responsible for the facility’s mechanical and pool systems.
A lasting construction and service relationship
Across 13 original buildouts and more than a decade of ongoing work, LH Block has helped Goldfish franchise owners establish and maintain indoor swim school facilities throughout Chicagoland.
