Lighting installation & LED retrofits

Commercial LED lighting installation and retrofits for warehouses, offices, retail spaces, and exterior areas throughout Chicagoland.

Lighting & LED retrofits

Better light for the work you do.

Good lighting supports how people use a building. We help match fixtures and controls to the space, replacing outdated lighting with efficient LED systems and coordinating installation around access and operations. LH Block also provides ComEd incentive assistance for qualifying projects.

How we can help

  • Warehouse and industrial high-bay lighting
  • Office and retail lighting upgrades
  • Exterior and parking-area fixtures
  • Occupancy controls and networked lighting controls
  • Qualifying ComEd incentive paperwork

Lighting for the way the space is used

Dim work areas, uneven coverage, aging fixtures, and changing floor plans are useful reasons to review lighting. A warehouse aisle, a retail display, and an office each have different needs. Describe the tasks being performed, operating hours, and areas where the existing lighting falls short.

Compare fixtures, retrofits, and controls

We install commercial LED lighting for interior and exterior applications, including high-bay, site, and parking-area lighting. Existing fixture condition, mounting height, layout, and access influence the options. Occupancy and networked lighting controls can be considered alongside the fixtures and the way different areas are used.

Plan the work and review incentive opportunities

Share fixture counts, available photos, and operating hours when requesting a review. We assist with ComEd incentive paperwork for qualifying projects. Eligibility, approval, and amounts depend on program requirements; incentive availability should be checked during planning. Any savings estimate should be based on the proposed equipment and actual use of the space.

A CLEAR PATH FORWARD

From first conversation
to finished work.

01

Review the space and existing lighting

We discuss dim areas, uneven coverage, fixture condition, operating hours, and the tasks performed in each space. Fixture counts, mounting heights, rack layouts, and available photos help establish what needs to improve in a warehouse, office, retail space, or exterior area.

02

Develop the fixture and controls scope

We consider replacement or retrofit options alongside occupancy or networked lighting controls and installation access. For qualifying ComEd projects, we assist with the applicable incentive paperwork and discuss approval requirements during planning. Proposed savings depend on the equipment and actual operating conditions.

03

Coordinate installation and controls setup

We plan work areas, lift access where needed, and installation timing with the people using the building. The agreed fixtures and controls are installed, and control settings are reviewed against the intended use of the space. Remaining adjustments or follow-up items are discussed with your site contact.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Your questions, answered.

Can you help with ComEd incentives?

Yes. We help identify applicable opportunities and assist with paperwork for qualifying lighting projects. Eligibility, approval, and amounts depend on current program requirements; incentives are not guaranteed.

Do all existing fixtures need to be replaced?

That depends on the condition of the fixtures and the goals of the project. We review replacement and retrofit options as part of defining the scope.

Can lighting controls be included?

Yes. Occupancy and networked lighting controls can be considered alongside the fixtures and how each area is used.

Can you improve dim or uneven lighting?

Yes. Tell us which areas are difficult to work in and what tasks are performed there. The proposed layout, fixtures, and controls can then be considered against those needs.

Do you install exterior and parking-area lighting?

Yes. Our lighting work includes site and parking-area lighting as well as interior commercial and industrial applications. Send the location and a description of the existing conditions.

How much energy will an LED retrofit save?

Savings depend on existing and proposed wattage, operating hours, and control settings. A useful estimate needs those inputs; we do not assume the same savings percentage for every building.
