EV charging site assessment & design

Evaluate your property’s electrical capacity, parking layout, and infrastructure needs before investing in an EV charging installation.

EV site assessment

Start with a plan for your site.

Charging needs vary between employees, visitors, and fleets. We review the intended use alongside site conditions to help define a practical electrical scope. Early planning also creates an opportunity to consider future expansion and coordinate with property stakeholders.

How we can help

  • Existing electrical capacity review
  • Charging location and layout planning
  • Infrastructure and routing considerations
  • Load management and future expansion requirements
A CLEAR PATH FORWARD

From first conversation
to finished work.

01

Understand charging demand and site goals

We discuss who will use the chargers, expected parking duration, proposed charger types, and plans for future expansion. Available electrical drawings, equipment information, and the property layout provide a starting point for evaluating how charging could fit the site.

02

Assess capacity, placement, and routing

We review available electrical information, candidate charger locations, and potential routes between the supply and parking spaces. Access, underground work, equipment placement, and possible utility involvement are considered. Where engineering or utility confirmation is needed, those dependencies are identified for the next stage.

03

Define the path to an installation scope

We discuss the proposed approach, remaining information needs, and the coordination required before installation can be quoted or scheduled. The next steps may include equipment selection, engineering documents, utility review, or a more detailed installation scope, depending on the property and charging requirements.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

Your questions, answered.

What is the difference between assessment and installation?

Assessment defines site requirements and the proposed scope. Installation is the physical electrical work that follows once the plan and equipment are agreed.

Can you assess an existing commercial property?

Yes. Existing facilities can be reviewed for capacity, infrastructure, and layout requirements.

Should we decide the number of chargers first?

An initial target is useful, but a site review can help refine it based on available power, space, and intended use.

PLANNING IN CONTEXT

See the infrastructure
behind the chargers.

Our Naperville project photos show equipment placement, underground conduit work, and the relationship between the charging spaces and electrical infrastructure. These are useful details to discuss when planning a commercial EV site.
